Journal of Critical Issues in Educational Practice
Volume 9, Number 1 (2019)
Editor's Remarks
Welcome to Volume 9, Issue 1 of Wisdom in Education. In this issue you will find:
- an article about reading written by an EdD graduate
- two student assignments taken to a further level by students in the counseling program
- a poem written about the completion of a doctorate by a graduate in London (this is the first time we have included poetry in the journal although we have had it as a type of possible contribution for some time)
- a research article about the San Bernardino City Unified School District's Restorative Youth Court
As usual, we are grateful to various people for enabling this journal to reach publication. These include the editorial work done by Dr Risa Lumley and by Kelsey Page and the work of our reviewers: Henry Yzaguirre, Kelsey Page, Olivia Rosas, Risa Lumley, Newell Canfield
This is my final issue as Editor. I have retired from my position at CSUSB. We are looking for a new person to take on the task of Managing Editor. If you are interested, please let me know.
As an indication of the value of contributing to this journal, there have been 8851 downloads of contributions to this journal from 144 countries since it began. The most downloaded article has been downloaded 1165 times. I think it is reasonable then to conclude that it is being widely read.
I do hope you enjoy reading these contributions.
