Call for Applications: The Next JOSEA Editorial Team
Dear JOSEA Community of Authors, Reviewers, and Special Education Scholars:
We hope that your 2024 is off to a great start! Wishing you a great and productive year ahead, we would like to invite you (and your colleagues who might be interested) to submit your applications for the positions of JOSEA editor/co-editors and assistant editor. These are non-paid positions that offer service to the field of special education and are dedicated to supporting and promoting the research of early career scholars.
Drs. Anna Osipova's and Jemma Kim's JOSEA Co-Editorship is coming to its conclusion in summer 2024. Having served as editors for three years, we are looking forward to passing over the baton of editorship to the new team. We aim to transition to a new editorial team in summer 2024. Dr. Jemma Kim will continue as the Publication Manager, given the journal's foundation and location at CSU San Bernardino. Karolyn Maurer, our incredible Assistant Editor, will also be stepping down with us, highlighting the importance for applicants to have a plan for a larger support team.
If you are interested in coming on board as an editor or as a team of co-editors, please send us the following:
- a) your letter of interest deliberating how you will uphold the Journal’s Mission and Vision during your editorship;
- b) your CV; and
- c) a sample article review that you have conducted for a publication other than JOSEA.
Please send your documents to the JOSEA Editorial Team at thejoseasubmission@gmail.com no later than March 31st, 2024. The editorial team will review the applications in April 2024, and we aim to use May and June 2024 to transition to the new team. We would be delighted for the new team to shadow our June 2024 issue production.
