Summary
Tom Rivera interviews Victoria and Rick Mendoza, mother and son with a deep history within Colton. At the beginning of the recording, Rivera and Rick sing Las Las Mañanitas to Victoria as she would be 101 years old. Victoria spoke on her history of coming to Colton when her family emigrated from Mexico and settled in Colton. After explaining about her father, a musician, and memories of local businesses and friends, Victoria talked about her best memories of being in Colton. Rivera then asks Rick about his history and his role as caretaker for his mother. The interview ends with Rick’s best memories of his parents.
