Summary
Tom Rivera interviewed Virginia Horta-Gonzales, a woman with a deep history in South Colton. The guest began the discussion by going over the academic award she won in school, meeting her future husband, and life during World War II. She and Rivera talk about the 1938 flood in Colton and other heavy topics such as racism and discrimination. After both of them reminisced about working and using materials from the local dump, Horta-Gonzales went over her positive feelings about her childhood being interesting and comfortable. The interview ended with Horta-Gonzales having said that the best part of Colton was the memories from before she was 15.
