Abstract

In this interview, Subrina Wilson-Seals is the guest. She talks about being a part of the Black Student Union at Eisenhower High School. She joined because she was proud of who she was and wanted to be a role model for others. The Black Student Unions, of many schools, would go out into the community to sell items and talk to people to spread awareness of Black culture. During her time in school, the interviewee had to deal with prejudice and violent racism. Particularly, it was from people not considered locals. The interview ends with Wilson-Seals talking about the Black Studies class, materials, and people she learned about that helped her learn more about who she was.
