Abstract

In this interview, Rikke Van-Johnson is the guest. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1973, and he and his cousin were presidents of their respective school’s BSUs. The latters’ related field trips were essentially parties. Though he had moved from Alabama to California, he became BSU president as a senior. After talking about his time in the student body presidency and the changes he was involved in, Van-Johnson talks about how he had to hitchhike to high school. When he attended San Bernardino Valley College, a friend was able to get him interested in civic matters and engagement. The interview ends with Van-Johnson speaking about his time in school in Alabama.
