Abstract
General organizational means-efficacy was evaluated as a mediator on the relationship between organizational contextual factors and employee career perceptions. Leadership support and training and development were found to be strong predictors of general organizational means-efficacy, while general organizational means-efficacy was strongly associated with job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turnover intentions, and advancement perceptions. This study highlights the importance of leadership support and training and development in creating positive employee perceptions of their resources and career outcomes.
