Abstract

Genetic descriptions of Rhinichthys osculus remain incomplete. Utilizing intronsequences in nuclear DNA, taxonomic relationships will be examined among neighboringwatershed populations including Southern California, Owens River, and Central Coast. The study analyzes three introns to determine if sufficient genetic differentiation has occurred to consider each of its own taxa.
