San Bernardino High School Cardinals Varsity Team- 1961. Alex Rubalcava top row seventh from the left. He was a pitcher record that year was 5 wins 2 losses. Voted by teamates as most valuable player of the team. He was selected that year as All League second team -CBL (Citrus Belt League). He was invited to try out for the Dodgers Rookie league , and played one year 1961-1962 in Hendersen, Nevada. There were three mexican americans on the team, brothers David Arias not in photo, Fernando Arias top row tenth from the left.
