Abstract
Lobangu is a mobile app that harnesses the power of Google ML Kit’s computer vision library for Flutter, Text Recognition, and OpenAI’s generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) model Application Programming Interface (API), GPT 3.5 Turbo, to read and extract data from pharmacy-printed receipts. Lobangu’s users, who are solely health center employees, can save the extracted data from receipts to the database for subsequent retrieval. Lobangu also offers role-based authentication, thus allowing users with administrative privileges to perform more tasks within the app than regular users. Lobangu’s user interface is developed using Flutter, and its backend services are fully handled by Firebase Authentication and the cloud-hosted NoSQL database, Cloud Firestore.
