Abstract
This study sought to investigate former foster youths' attitudes and feelings about contact with their families of origin as they were aging out of the foster care system. The inquiry into the needs of adolescents in foster care during the transitionary period of young adulthood and the social workers who help them seem to indicate the concept of family is important to these youth.
