Summary

Tom Rivera interviews Mel Salazar, a man who was able to do deep research into Colton’s baseball team The Colton Mercurys. The interview begins with Salazar explaining how origins of researching the Colton Mercurys' history, that being to honor his mom who had played for the Mercury Señoritas. Both Rivera and Salazar go over the team, players, and people they recognized who were involved in the team. Salazar briefly mentioned how in his research, he tried to contact fifteen families from the baseball team. He was majorly successful in contactinig the remaining families and players still alive. After going over his best memory of the project, Salazar shows the photographs he saved that were of the Colton Mercurys and other local teams. The interview ends with both men talking about the importance of saving the rich history of Colton.
