Summary

Tom Rivera interviewed Randy Espartago Sosa, a man with deep ties to Colton. At the start of the recording, Sosa spoke of his father, who had escaped the Mexican Revolutionary War and became a community figure in Colton. As the interview continued, the interviewee spoke about his father’s role in unions and as an individual who promoted education. The conversation moves on to further community activism, local organizations, and political figures. Sosa then talks about his own work history, working with Caltrans and engineering work. The interview ends with Sosa speaking about his and his wife’s role in creating college scholarships, which kept the memory of Sosa’s father alive.
