Summary

Tom Rivera interviews Camilla “Millie” Herrera, a long-time resident of South Colton with deep roots in the city. Since her early beginnings, Herrera’s mother had been in love and involved with the Colton community. Eventually, some of those resources were taken away but her mother was still able to provide for the people of South Colton. The mother claimed she had no real hobby other than helping her community. At the time of the interview, the community itself changed. Primarily, it is due to people relocating, the death of older people, and new people moving in. However, Herrera’s mother still has a lasting impact. At the end of the interview, Rivera and Herrera talk about the help the community gave to create the new church.
