Summary

The Padilla Family

Terry Padilla Constant joined Dr. Tom Rivera and Henry Vásquez at the Pfau Library to share memories and history of her father Manuel Padilla, and her aunts: Gertrudes (Tula) and María Padilla. Terry explains about her father’s leadership roles in South Colton and his community involvement — organizing union workers, Fiestas Patrias, advising people in need, working with the Congress of Community Clubs, the Latin American Civic Club, American Legion Fidel Hernández Post 754, Woodrow Wilson PTA, and many more. Manuel wrote the constitutions for many, many organizations and youth groups. Terry also shares about how her aunts, Tula and María, had leadership roles at San Salvador Church and in the Fiestas Patrias.
