Abstract
Sister Mary McKinney recalls her experiences moving to Redlands, CA and the obstacles and success that followed. She created Mary’s Beauty Shop and established Samaritan Social Services. Throughout her life she has been dedicated to helping those in her community. She provided children with meals and job support and helped run a soup kitchen and shelter for the homeless. Her faith was a guide and a motivator for always treating people with kindness, regardless of how they treated her.
