Abstract
In this interview, Phyllis Boles is the guest. Boles starts her discussion about her time in the Black Student Union. While in that organization, she learned structure, how to write information down, and other important skills that have made a powerful impact. Boles speaks about her volunteer experience in working for a safe house for victims of human trafficking. She also used to be a teacher in the private school sector. As someone who was in the military for about four years, Boles could see how diverse that field was. The interview ends with Boles talking about how the state of California was possibly mandated to teach Black history to high school students.
