Abstract
In order to improve the student's experience in large lectures I initially developed and new course (Hist 144) in lieu of Hist 142. I hoped that by teaching the Modern World I would be more effective as a teacher given my training is in Modern Europe. The course went ok but I decided to revert to teaching Hist 142. I also included some new pedagogical innovations including using an Student Intern, adding a general discussion log etc.
