This syllabus is for a new class that will be offered in the semester system for the Department of Psychology, PSYC 6674: Child Therapy. This new course will be a required course for students earning their masters in clinical/counseling psychology (MCCP). Previously this subject matter was covered in a combined seminar/lab course, PSYC 673. PSYC 673 had twice as many total hours of in-class time over a quarter as will be available over a semester for PSYC 6674. Therefore, this new sample syllabus provides a template for how to pare down the course material and activities to meet the new time constraints while still engaging in high impact practices.
