Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide an up-to-date analysis of the international response to global refugee problems and to describe a new process that is evolving to address the long-term effects of refugee problems in underdeveloped nations. The important role of the international community in assisting host governments to manage large scale refugee situations will be critically examined.
