Abstract

The Personal Online Banking System (POBS) is a Web-based application that allows users to conduct online bank services. The bank customer can use POBS for deposits and withdrawals, to view her checking and/or saving account, and to transfer funds between accounts. The bank clerk can use POBS to handle customer deposits and withdrawals. The bank manager can use POBS to view reports generated by the system and save these reports in Excel format. The system administrator can use POBS for user account management. The project proves that use of Spring Framework, a layered application framework based on J2EE Design and Development, improves coding efficiency. An experienced developer can follow the pattern presented in this project and develop a simple Web site within two months. The project also utilized Hibernate, a powerful database access tool, and Eclipse, a programming editor.
