Abstract
This collection of poems, Rowboats in Panthalassa, is an attempt to suture multiple shards of an identity into one landscape. The poems examine their own fissures with contempt and are not interested in a co-mingling of parts, but rather and undeviating essence of identity. They wrap themselves around this obsession of 'wholeness, ' until failed attempt after failed attempt to reach the shores of Pangea wholeness makes the journey seem futile. It is in this surrender that the collection finds its breath.
