Abstract
James Wheeler's collection of short stories, Guarding the Rock and Other Stories, is a tough, sentimental look at the reader's own self. I, the first person, James Wheeler tackles the ordinary problems people face, while at the same time recognizing, with minimal mention, the underlying situations that confront the majority of humanity on a daily basis.
