Abstract
This poetry collection, Elegy for the Problematic, entwines feminism, sexuality, and identity with traditional myth and fairy tales toward creating new myths and paradigms, and a new poetic language that illustrates the falsity of normative standards, and/or of fixity in language. The collection explores the idea that the world in and beyond language lacks fixity and is best understood through qualitative values, as in the use of representations, rather than by quantitatively measuring value against a normative standard.
