Abstract
This paper reviews the literature, analyzes factors that influence a child's enjoyment in sport, and discusses strategies that can be used by parents to create a more fun experience for children in sport. The literature discusses three main factors that affect a child's participation in athletics: 1. Parental pressure; 2. Readiness in sport ; and 3. Verbal comments.
