Abstract
The purpose of this study was to observe, assess, evaluate, instruct, and assess again the benefits of guided reading for one struggling student through a case study venue. The guided reading component of reading instruction has more than one facet to the acquisition of language. These facets are designed to strengthen the student's reading abilities.
