Meaningful community-university partnerships can take several forms, from culturally responsive outreach to community-based participatory research. Looking at community engagement activities through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion helps us understand and embrace the differences that reflect the range of human experience and circumstance, in areas including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, nationality, socioeconomic class, age, disability, veteran status and so much more.
