Description
Contributor generated description: “This is an original four-minute video documenting how the CSUSB College of Arts and Letters responded to COVID-19 during the Fall 2020 semester after many student productions abruptly were cancelled in mid-March.
It includes remarks from Dean Rueyling Chuang; Stacey Fraser, chair of the Department of Music; and Terry Donovan Smith, chair of the Department of Theatre Arts.
Included are excerpts of several remotely-edited performances from the Department of Music, clips from CSUSB Opera Theatre's 2021 filmed adaptation of the contemporary opera "Song From the Uproar," produced entirely under COVID safety restrictions.
Theatre Arts' COVID-era productions included "The Big Zoomtastic Musical Revue of 2020," an original musical staged on the Zoom videoconferencing app, and "Mathematical Mayhem," a puppet series design to teach basic math concepts. Originally conceived as a live show that would tour local schools, it was adapted into a free, five-part Vimeo video series available online."
