Summary
Tom Rivera interviewed Gloria Luna Escobedo Flores, a woman with a rich history in Colton. The interview begins with Luna going over her grandmother’s move to the United States. After talking about her extended family, the interviewee talks about her youth and eventually meeting her husband. Luna spoke on her experiences while living in a large family and her extended family which was most of South Colton. Luna mentioned the connection between her family and Father Valencia of the San Salvador Church. She had also been asked about memories of school integration and racism, to which she talked about the lack of funding in school. The interview ends with Luna’s explanation of the best memory of living in Colton as having a big family and friends.
