Summary

Tom Rivera, later with Henry Vasquez, interviews Espartago Sosa, a resident of South Colton. It starts with the feats Sosa has done and his work in activism and social issues. Throughout the interview, Sosa and Rivera talk about Sosa’s father. The latter was a man who escaped war in Mexico and all his life helped people who needed it the most. Sosa recollects memories of his father working as a unionist and working with a local Communist group. He was also commonly accused of being one but never took it to heart and always had a smile on his face. The interview ends with Sosa talking about the accomplishments he and his wife, Manuela, have done for students. Particularly, Manuela’s role in creating a scholarship for college students.
