The College of Arts & Letters is home to a variety of innovative programs. In addition to providing many of the General Education courses taken by all CSUSB students, the College's departments of Art, Communication Studies, English, Music, Philosophy, Theatre Arts and World Languages and Literatures offer 9 baccalaureate degree programs and 7 graduate degree programs, including M.F.A.s in Art (studio art and design), and English (creative writing). The Liberal Studies program offers a tenth, shared interdisciplinary major program that includes the largest subject matter preparation program for the multiple subject credential. In addition to these, the College offers minors in each of its represented disciplines, as well as three interdisciplinary minors in American Studies, Asian Studies and Latin American Studies that span departments and even colleges.
