Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software has been implemented by the majority of the large corporations in the world in order to streamline and integrate their internal business processes. The impact of this multi-million, sometimes billion dollar IT investment is mostly measured in terms of ROI, cost savmgs and productivity improvement. However, marketers should not ignore the benefits an ERP system can bring them and their customers. This paper describes five benefits marketers derive from an ERP implementation. These are information availability, streamlined processes, sales force support, strengthened business partners, and support for globalization.
