Abstract
My story begins inside Khao I Dang, a refugee camp in Thailand. The main character, Bory, moves to the United States, more specifically San Diego and San Bernardino. However, he continues to think back to where he comes from while trying to make sense of his present life in America and where he will be going. In this case, his past really determines his future. He is constantly reminded of how he 's made it to the Promised Land.
