This document serves as a summary of the lessons learned in the ACUE Teaching Effectiveness Course taken through California State University – San Bernardino, Spring 2019. During this course, I learned strategies for writing an engaging syllabus, techniques for engaging class activities and the best techniques for specific learning objectives, inclusive language for a diverse classroom, and the many ways to assess student learning using Bloom’s taxonomy. Included in this document you will find information about the lessons learned in the course, how I applied them in and outside of the classroom, and the long lasting impact this course has had on my pedagogy.
